FAQ

Questions, answered

The things people ask before booking. If yours isn't here, call or text 208-946-7722 — a real person answers.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate and general liability insurance through an aviation carrier. We'll send a certificate of insurance to any job site that asks for one.

Do I need to be home?

No. Send access notes — gate codes, dogs, where to park — and we'll take care of it. Most jobs take under an hour on site.

How fast can you come out?

Usually within the week, often sooner for storm damage. Weather is the only real variable.

What if the weather is bad?

We reschedule. You're never charged for a flight we didn't fly.

Can you fly near the airport or in town?

Often yes. Parts of Sandpoint sit in controlled airspace, so we request authorization first. If it can't be approved, we tell you before you pay.

Do you inspect the roof, or just photograph it?

We photograph it and describe plainly what we saw. Diagnosis, bids and claims are for your contractor, adjuster or engineer — we give them clear pictures to work from.

What do I actually receive?

Edited full-resolution stills in a shared download folder, any video that was part of the job, and the raw files if you want them.

Can you shoot the same building every month?

Yes — that's the progress package. Same angles, same altitude, dated folders, billed monthly if that's easier.

Will you fly over my neighbor's property?

Only where it's legal and necessary for the shot, and we keep the camera on your property. We're happy to talk to a neighbor who asks what we're doing.

How far do you travel?

About 40 miles from Sandpoint is a standard call-out. Farther is fine — travel is quoted up front, never added after.
