About
Locally owned, operated and flown.
Sandpoint Drones is a small, local operation — one licensed pilot who lives here, not a franchise dispatching someone from Spokane. We've been in this county a long time: we know which roads wash out, where the airspace gets tight near the airport, and how the light works on the lake in October.
The work is unglamorous and useful: a contractor who needs to see a roof before writing a bid, an owner building a house from out of state, a family documenting hail damage. We show up, fly, and get you the files.
Credentials
01 / Licensed and insuredFAA licensed
Remote Pilot certificate under 14 CFR Part 107. Current, and we fly by it — including airspace authorization near Sandpoint Airport when a job needs it.
Insured
General liability coverage through an aviation carrier. Certificate of insurance available on request, and we send it to job sites that require one.
Local knowledge
Bonner County conditions are the ones we live in — wind off the lake, smoke season, snow load, short winter light.
How we work
02 / What to expectWe check before we charge
Airspace, weather and access get looked at before you pay anything. If the flight can't legally or safely happen, we say so.
You don't need to be there
Give us access notes and we'll handle it. No ladders, no roof walking, no standing around a job site.
Plain language
We describe what we saw from the air. We don't write claims, engineering reports, or bids — we give the people who do that the pictures they need.
Files that stay organized
Named folders, dated captures, consistent angles on repeat visits. Easy to forward, easy to compare.
Local, licensed, and one call away.
